We would like to reach out to citizens of all cultural backgrounds and ethnics. Our dedication is hence not limited to our traditional european heritage. We would rather want to promote a common approach, encouraging all of us to be careful and weary in tough times, in order to save what is worth saving.

What we’re looking forward to…
Ramadan (رمضان) and the „Al-Fitr“ are the time in the year of the big coming-together for delicious food. This year the pratice was widely banned in order to minimize contacts. We can’t wait that this will again be a common event.
Hajj (حَجّ): Pilgrammage to Mekka was hardly possible this year. To to the pandemia only very few piligims were able to access the Kabaa.
We all hope that where there’s a will there’s a way.
Feast of the Sacrifice
(Eid al-Adha / عيد الأضحى):
Like the other events, this festivity is normally also celebrated together. As before special care is required this year. With the vaccines in sight, there will soon be an occasion for a common sactifice.
„Danke“ – „Thank you“ – „teşekkür ederim“
Germany says thank you to all faithul believers who are respecting our mutual effort to get together through these difficult moments and at the same time keep the numbers low. We cannot repeat it often enough: This is not because we want to restrict anyone. It is because we want whoreshipping again to be „normal“ soon.
Gouvernment of Saudi Arabia thanks Germany for its tolerance by covering the Kabaa with the german national flag.

What we do
In Germany we traditionally have a large turkish community – on the picture you can see the Brandenbug Gate illuminated with the turkish flag. Together in a multicultural effort we will:
- Limit unnecessary travelling
- Avoid gatherings and festivities with many contacts
- Celebrate at home
- Be hopeful
- Stay confident

„Listen to Coran“
The popular german newspaper wrote an article that the live-saving corona-rules claimed by german politicians today are already written in Coran: „Covering face, prohibition of alcohol, the protection of the elderly or the washing of hands“.
Corona: A chance for Islam in Germany?
As a reaction to the crisis in march the german online-newspaper qantara wrote: „Many mosques in Germany are again opened. Muslims must wear protective masks, keep distance and bring their own praying carpets. Hence the common friday-prayers are made possible again for a limited number of people. However the heavyly frequented gathering during fast breaking is still banned within the communites.“

„At most I missed fast-breaking together with family and friend, eating together with lots of people and inviting others to out home…. Certainly digital communication has increased during Ramadan, because we met in person less or not at all…But I have met with friends and family in online-streams in order to create at least some social proximity…Those are things, that we are getting conscient of every year during Ramadan, but during the pandemia I did experience them even stronger than usually. I am very thankful for that.“
